ARMS — Turning Asset Recovery into a Managed Business Process

CYTECH developed ARMS — Asset Recovery Management System to address the recurring challenge of company assets left unreturned after employee separation. The solution manages the recovery process from endorsement and employee engagement through collection, tracking, reporting, and final asset return—giving the client greater visibility, accountability, and control over asset recovery.

A client was carrying real financial loss from assets that never came back — laptops, headsets and equipment issued to agents who absconded or resigned without returning them. Tracking and recovering that equipment was slow, manual and incomplete.

The challenge

  • Assets issued to agents were not reliably returned on exit
  • Absconded and resigned agents left equipment unaccounted for
  • Manual tracking made recovery slow and the financial loss hard to contain

What we did

  • Designed a customized asset-retrieval solution around the client's exact process
  • Built ARMS — the Asset Recovery Management System — to manage it end to end
  • Connected asset issuance, agent status and recovery into one accountable workflow
  • Gave the client visibility of what is out, with whom, and what is owed on exit

Why the client chose CYTECH

  • Client-centric solution design — we started with the client's pain, not a product we already had
  • Continuous improvement — we kept looking for a better answer, and built one

Feeling the client's pain

Building ARMS was our way of showing the client we feel the pain with them. We do not stop at supplying equipment — we look for the problem behind the problem and build ways to solve it.

Built for the long run

  • End-to-end service ownership — we own the outcome, not just the delivery
  • Client partnership — we keep improving the solution as the challenge evolves

Outcome

A recurring financial loss became a managed, visible process — and the client gained a purpose-built system, ARMS, to keep it that way.
